I used to be obsessed with celebrities. That started to change about 6-7 years ago. Now I still skim through a blog about celebrities (the superficial), but it takes about 3 minutes of my time each day and I usually get a headache from all of my eye rolling. Anyhoo, that's my disclaimer given the fact I'm about to blog about three celebrities and the (supposed) goings-on of their lives.
Background:
- Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry (French-Canadian male model) dated for a while. They had a girl together back in 2008, split in 2010, and have been having custody disputes ever since.
- Halle Berry is now dating French actor Olivier Martinez.
- The latest custody dispute was about Berry wanting to take their daughter to live in France. Aubry objected and won.
- Martinez and Aubry ran into each other on Berry's driveway. What happened and whose fault it is, I don't know. But they got into a fight.
So the first time I hear about it, I laugh because two celebrities got into a fight. I'm picturing some minor shoving and some silly slapping. Then I just start cracking up due to this quote from a story:
And finally, there’s this … specifics about the argument between Gabriel and Olivier are sketchy because they were trash talking each other in French.
Fighting in French! It makes me laugh (even though it's perfectly logical given their nationalities). It's just funny to me for some reason.
Anyway, a day or two passes. Then I see the photos of Aubry. He looks like Rihanna after Chris Brown got to her (I think reference to other celebrities in this post is appropriate, no?) I shouldn't have, but I literally laughed out loud. The celebrities fighting in French actually hit each other! Well, Martinez hit Aubry - we know that. I wonder what Martinez looks like.

And thus ends the superficial portion of this blog post (see what I did there? with that play on words? yes, I do find myself funny, tyvm).

I made coat signs for Avery's pre-k class. Now the 3/4's teacher, whom Avery had last year, asked me to make some coat signs for her, too. Yipee! For a non-scrapbooker, I am getting a surprising amount of use from a die-cutting machine.
