Hello all! We're back for a quick stop over here in Portland after spending Labor Day weekend up in Wyoming at a family and friend reunion hosted by my brother and his wife. We had an absolute blast there and hope it becomes an annual tradition ... particularly the waiting on us hand and foot part! Though, for the record Denise, I'm very willing to help out with whatever you ask me to for these things, but I clearly don't object to the stellar level of service we received this weekend!
Anyhow, we're off to Mexico for the rest of the week while T&E have their favorite in-home pet sitter staying with them during our absence. I do feel rather badly that we're home and they're happy to see us only to turn around early tomorrow morning and leave them. That seems cruel. But they will soon have Tia here to give them all sorts of cuddles and loving, so I don't feel *too*badly.
Right now, there is apparently a hurricane that could prevent our trip. Drats. We're getting on the flight tomorrow morning and hoping for the best, but we could be stuck in LA for a couple of days if things go badly. Or I suppose we could end up just turning around and coming home. But, being the gluttons for punishment that we are, we're going to assume everything will work out perfectly.
Will update with details of our trip upon my return Monday. Perhaps if you're really, super, duper lucky, then I'll do a post from Mexico. I know. You're all a twitter.
