Avery has been on fire lately with sounding out words and telling me the letters in them. Today she also whizzed through an episode of Mimio (formerly Headsprout) she'd been uninterested in and/or too challenged by a couple of months ago. Tonight this all culminated in her sounding out and writing her first note.
For those not familiar with a 4yo's creative spelling and odd spacing, it says, "Daddy no matter what you can come to my birthday." I think she wanted to say birthday party, but by the time we got to birthday, she was all tuckered out so I showed her how to end a sentence with a period.
