Daddy/Daughter Camping Trip

D left yesterday around 2:30 for his first (annual? hopefully?) daddy/daughter camping trip.  I was more excited for it than either of them, and not just because it meant I got a night home alone.  I can only imagine that Avery is having a fantastic time.  I wish I could have sat up in a tree and watched the entire camping trip.  So cool.   And I'm very proud that D still went despite the fact England is playing right now, so D's missing it.  He said he wasn't going to listen to the radio or check FB or other Internet sites until after he's gotten home so he can watch the game without finding out the results.  Fingers crossed it works out!

Anyway, as stated, since they were gone, I was home alone.  What did I do?  Well, I felt like watching TV (something I haven't felt like doing since my reading wave began), so I plopped myself down and caught up on the shows I missed during the Mexico trip in May.  I also immediately downed a box of Fruit Roll Ups, which explains the subsequent sugar crash and nap.  After I woke up and fed the dogs, I saw that The Hangover was on, so I watched that.  Even though I'd seen it and even though I was alone watching it, I still laughed out loud more often than not.  That movie is simply hilarious.  I then played some Lexulous and read my book before bed.

This morning, the dogs kindly let me sleep in until 8:30 (and seemingly would have let me sleep longer had I been able).  Now I'm catching up on Lexulous and Internet stuff before heading out to walk the dogs and read my book.  Lovely. 

Friday

Friday was an unusually full day for me while Avery was at school.  Not full as in "oh, I'm so terribly busy" but full as in "I did stuff other than read."  After walking the dogs, I decided to head out to a movie (Knight and Day - skip it), then going over to Rachele's to help her sort through a mountain of hand me downs.  I must admit, I didn't imagine quite so many clothes when she asked if I'd help her sort through the clothes.  It was overwhelming.  After two hours, we were both exhausted.  It was also date night.  I drove home and picked up Avery and Damian, we headed back to the G's, dropped Avery off, then headed out to see Winter's Bone.  I thought it was a very good movie, though it's definitely a bit of a downer.  

Mood

I have been doing so much better.  Almost all physical side effects from the antidepressant have subsided and my mood is excellent (relatively speaking).  I'm still clenching my teeth, but not nearly as badly as I was.  Woohoo!  I think the change in the weather is definitely a factor.  I'm so glad I went to the doctor before Mexico because I think this period would have been much rockier and much more difficult had I waited until after we got back. 

House

We have a 99% done deck.  It looks like they didn't finish a bit of the railings on Friday, but I'm very happy with the deck.  I didn't think it would make me quite so happy, but each time I drive up to our house, it looks so friendly and inviting. Next up, I think they're going to rip up the yard and start on the landscaping, as well as get started on putting the shingles up in the eves.
