Reason #31,897,328 I love my daughter
On the way home from summer camp this afternoon, Avery asked me, "Can I take a little nap on the couch when I get home?" I, of course, said yes ... you know, because I'm not crazy. Then, SHE DID IT. She's still asleep now. I love that she knows when she needs sleep and is willing to give that sleep to herself.
Swimming
Avery's enjoying her swimming lessons, however, I think the semi-private lessons are key until the kids can really swim on their own while instructors are helping other kids. When they need to be spotted/helped when swimming, it means that they spend much of their time on the wall practicing kicking. There is no one there to correct their form most of the time - since the instructor is working one-on-one with one particular child while this wall time is going on - so, to me, it's rather pointless. So back to semi-private we'll go in the fall.
Speaking of swimming, we need to get a move on to get there soon.
Um, yeah. While the happiness for a child who will seek a nap when needed still exists, turns out she needed a nap because she had a fever. She has a fever because she might very well have strep. Doctor is treating for strep due to symptoms and running a strep test in the meantime.
