Procrastination

I have successfully procrastinated the planning and preparation for our dinner party on November 10th until the last possible minute. Since I'm gone Friday through Sunday for spa weekend in Arizona (woohoo!), this leaves me just this week to make sure I know what I'm going to cook so I can clean and shop next week. I just can't seem to force myself to get ready for this stuff in advance. Oh well. It's the way it goes, I guess. In reality, I have plenty of hours to get ready. It's just a matter of forcing myself to see an urgency to do stuff in advance to eliminate last minute stress. I never learn this lesson well enough.

I did actually do a blog entry earlier today, but Firefox closed down unexpectedly and I lost my post. Don't worry - it wasn't very interesting.

Didn't work out either day this weekend and didn't do a dog walk today (we made it a couple of blocks then had to turn around because I was cold and then didn't feel like going back out with a heavier coat). Talk about lazy.

I downloaded Google Earth and played with it. The pictures of our neighborhood and house are actually fairly recent (maybe 1.5 years old), so you can clearly see our house and it looks like Eddie may be sitting out back. Here is a close up of our street. We are the third house down on the far right side of the picture. You can enlarge the picture a bit to see better.
